The Bergsøysundet bridge in Gjemnes was damaged by a general cargo vessel running into the bridge structure, causing possible severe damages to the bridge. The bridge has been in operation for approx 30 years, and it was designed to be in operation for at least 100 years.

The Owner has together with an external consultant company worked extensively to find a repair method that can uphold the remaining fatigue life of 70 years.

Prosub assisted the Client following up the work related to planning, repair and cost.
