The vessel is a highly specialized flexible pipe lay vessel, and is equipped with a Huisman 650T Tiltable Lay System (TLS) tower in addition to two carousel compartments for total of 2500 tons of risers/pipe in the forward carousel and 1500 tons for the aft carousel.

The vessel was heavily damaged in a fire in June 2023 in Brazil, and was later relocated to the Netherlands and Norway for repairs. The repair work required the TLS tower to be temporary removed from the vessel in Rotterdam prior to carrying out the permanent repairs at Vard Langsten in Norway.

The H&M survey work was subsequently carried out in all 3 countries, and were a joint effort between 3 survey companies in each of the affected countries: Piccolo E Associados LTDA in Brazil, SCUA Rotterdam B.V. in the Netherlands and Prosub in Norway.
