The vessel was towed to a remote location while still on fire and was ultimately beached to prevent the vessel from sinking. Prosub assisted our Client and acted as the attending P&I surveyor, assisting the involved parties preventing an acute oil pollution to sea and to coordinate oil spill response efforts. This required close dialog with local and national authorities. The wreck was successfully re-floated and towed to Kirkenes to undergo preparation for tow to scrapyard.
