The vessel experienced metal particles in the lubrication oil and further investigations indicated failed roller bearings on the propeller shaft. The vessel was docked, the thruster unit dismantled and crown wheels, pinion and all relevant roller bearings were replaced before the vessel could enter into service again.

Our surveyor also assisted the claims handler with an on-site test of online survey tools with very good results.
