Winch breakdown
An Anchor Handling Vessel (AHT) experienced damages to a winch motor while being engaged in a pre-lay operation for a major Operator.
It was required to abort the operation and demobilize the remaining equipment onboard. A full disassembly of the entire winch system was required to get a full overview of any and all consequential damages to the system. The winch system was fully assembled and commissioned before the vessel entered into service again. Prosub assisted the Client with follow-up during the repair period.
